All You Need to Know About Google Glass

Google set the internet ablaze with the announcement of its Google Glass Project early last year. Since then the development has been in full swing, with Google leaving no stone unturned to test out the prototypes and making all this a reality very shortly.

While there has been a lot of talk about the Project Glass and the numerous demonstrations done by Google, there has been very little coverage about what the prospects of using this spectacular device can have on our everyday lives.

Since Google has also put up a video on Youtube about the special things that its glasses are capable of doing, users have gotten a pretty good idea about what to expect in the days when this device finally hits the markets.

Google Glass, is essentially a camera along with a display, battery and microphone that attempts to pick up data from computers, smartphones and tablets and bring them right in the front of your eyes, whenever you want it.

However the downside of Google Glass is that while everything about it sounds pretty promising, there comes a lot of scope of using the technology for wrong purposes, such as cheating especially in exams, casino clubs, bars etc. This is why there has been a lot of banning of the use of Google glass, whenever it finally comes into the markets. Especially casino owners and some bars have gone on to publicly announce that they won’t allow the use of Google Glass since it could become a nuisance for them.

So what all can you do with Google Glass?

There are several important functions that Google Glass can successfully complete, especially when it comes to improving the quality of our daily lives by shortening the time required for most of our routine tasks involving the use of technology.

Users can take a picture or record a video on the go without needing to use their touch. The photots and videos will be stored in the 4GB flash memory of the device and can be shared on social networking websites. It can also show text messages and allow you to reply to them via voice commands. It can also be used to find information, show maps and many other features.

All-in-all, Google Glass is an exciting project that could potentially help improve our lives but only to a certain extent, since beyond that it could become threatening in many ways, most of which only time will tell.
