Which is the Best DTH Service in India – Comparison

There are a lot of options available when it comes to choosing a DTH service for your home. Selecting the best DTH service provider is important and we make the task easier by comparing the major ones available in the Indian market and helping you choose the best one among Tata Sky, Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Sun DTH, Reliance Big TV etc.

Picture Clarity & Technology Comparison

If we keep the HD feature aside, Dish TV & Tata Sky use MPEG 2 technology while Airtel Digital TV, Videocon DTH & Reliance Big TV rely on the MPEG 4 technology, which is obviously better as it a newer technology and offers a much better picture quality.

Which One Offers the Best Pricing

Although Tata Sky and Dish TV are the most popular DTH services in India right now, that doesn’t mean they are the best. Infact, I have been personally using Airtel Digital TV because it offers the most number of channels at the most affordable price in comparison to the others. Reliance Big TV also offers a number of cheaper plans but still Airtel would be the winner in this aspect.

The Final Word

If you are looking for a complete package and the one with the most affordable tariff plans along with the highest number of channels, I would recommend Airtel Digital TV since it near perfect in almost every aspect be it the picture quality, package pricing or customer support and I have myself been using it for more than a year now, without any major problem.

  1. yeah that’s true..

  2. most affordable is airtel??? i am not with you because as per my convinience videocon d2h is best and most cheaper in packages then airtel.

  3. Would region also be an important factor?

for eg., Airtel mobile subscribers say that in bombay, the service is not good, frequent call drops etc.

so in the case of DTH, does airtel fare well in mumbai?

  4. I am Fully agree with you, I was using DISHTV, I think its the most worst DTH in India from quality, Service, Package, from every aspect. I suffered a lot with it, now I changed it to Airtel DTH.
