If you thought making ringtones for iPhone was a difficult job, you couldn’t have been farther away from the truth. Making ringtones is actually quite a simple thing and you don’t need to be a professional in order to make a nice sounding ringtone.
In this article I will teach you how you can create ringtones from any song, using a free software which you all would have heard of – iTunes. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Open iTunes and select a song from which you want to make a ringtone. Right click on it and then click on get info.
Enter the start and stop time for your ringtone in the ‘Options‘ tab. If you want to alter any sound effects, you can do so by selecting different variables in the equalizer present option (optional).
Right click on the song and click on ‘Convert to AAC‘. You will get an extracted ringtone out of the song for the time interval you entered. It will get saved in the AAC file format. Now right click on this file and rename it with the extension ‘.m4r’
Now simply drag the renamed file into iTunes and from there into your iPhone. Now you can use it as a ringtone in your iPhone.
