Lenovo, the mega electronics brand, mostly famous for its stylish laptops has decided to tap into the growing Android television market and is all set to start selling 42-inch Android Smart TV’s in China.
The pre-order for the same will start from April 10 onwards though the launch date is not confirmed yet. The TV would run on the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system and is powered by a strong 1.5Ghz dual-core processor. The TV supports 3D and Wi-Fi and comes with a remote control to facilitate playing high-definition Android games on the TV itself.
Lenovo is expected to release a few other models along with this TV in a variety of price segments to target all prospective customers. Coming to the price, the K71 Smart TV from Lenovo would cost around 6499 Yuan (just a bit over $1000).
This is for sure a surprise move from Lenovo but as they haven’t touched on the international release of their smart TV.
