Stepping on the gas, Samsung India has launched it’s latest smartphone that is aimed at the mid range segment. However the interesting fact is that unlike most of the other smartphones by Samsung, this one runs on Windows 7.5 Manga operating system instead of the customary Android OS.
Sporting an elegant design, with extremely sleek looks, Samsung Omnia M boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. The device is powered by a 1Ghz processor with 384MB RAM that makes sure the performance is smooth. The internal storage of 4GB is quite impressive too, as you need not worry about limiting the number of apps to save your memory.
Samsung Omnia M is the first Windows phone to feature Samsung’s proprietary ChatOn application which is a cross-platform communication app that allows users to share contents with friends, and also group chat with them.
Coming to the specs, the device sports a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and also comes with a secondary front VGA camera for video calling. The specs seem quite impressive to me, and the battery too is better than most smartphones, at around 1500mAh.
Although the list price of Samsung Omnia M smarthone is around Rs. 18,650, the phone is available on the Samsung India eStore for Rs 16,400 and online ecommerce websites including Flipkart are selling it for just Rs. 15,900, which is definitely a deserving price for the smartphone.
